Still here... just not very present.

Sometimes people say they miss our blog posts. One of our lockdown plans is to start writing again so maybe there will be a few more...

Travelling feels like just the other day and a long, long time ago all in the same breath.

This post has been sitting in our drafts for a long while, so thought it was time to finish it.

Life is very different for us all at the moment and we hope this finds you and your family well.

We are now based back in Wales. Our year travelling was a catalyst for BIG change for us. The boys have still not gone back to school and have been thriving with learning at home and continuing with our travelling and exploring within the UK and whenever we can get away. The girls are enjoying their schools but obviously now that is all put on hold and we are all at home.

Life is on PAUSE.

But we are keeping busy in lock down having got back from Canada just before the flights stopped running. Dave is working in Morriston, Swansea ICU so along with his colleagues he is a super star and involved in what is happening on the frontline. The kids are all pretty happy and used to the homeschooling.

I am working on a project with a friend which we have taken digital over the last 3 weeks and, given you have been a part of a previous journey in our lives, I thought you might like to know about it.

If any of you have teenage daughters or friends with teenage daughters then we would love you to have a look. The HOW People.

"Inspiring, empowering, supporting and connecting the next generation of awesome females."

You can sign up to the newsletter on the website

We are heading into our last full week of HOW Inspire: Digital Life Stories via Zoom which are a bit like TED talks for teens (and adults are enjoying them too, in fact anyone over 10/11 yrs old but aimed at teen girls)

They have been brilliant.

We are raising money for 'Rescue Packs' via our charitable arm HOW2help. These packs have been made with The Goodwash Company and Ease Retreats for frontline ICU Nurses in hospitals around the country.

This week we have Dee Caffari, a multiple round the world yachtswoman, Emily Sarsfield, an Olympic ski cross racer and Laura Clarke, an award winning Architect and furniture designer inspiring young minds through the wonders of online webinars! Sign up links on the links.

We would love you to join us at HOW HQ for some irregular newsletters and ramblings, and to spread the word far and wide. Word of mouth remains the best type of advertising in this day and age so please follow us and share, tweet, poke, like etc.

Facebook and Instagram we are pretty active on. Linkedin we are trying to get the hang of so please find us and give us a follow if you have any of the above!

Take care and stay safe.

Jo and family

PS. The fingers. A totally miraculous result. Doesn't stop her in anyway at all.

PPS. Tom also has his own instagram channel now @toms.nature which we run together. It is lots of little nature clips and interviews. They are so funny if any one wants to watch him follow his dreams to step into David Attenborough's shoes. Just wish we could do the full travels with him again so he can remember it as he is such a passionate nature loving eco warrior!

Just glad we decided on Plan A and not Plan B of waiting until Meg was a bit older to go in 2020...
