Day 1 on the Dark Side

Now that they are properly tearing down the slopes, we realised we had to give in to the repeated requests to have a go at snowboarding... You can't live in the mountains for a season and not try it, I guess. A few months back we met a lovely guy called Ben who is a snowboarder instructor in Australia but lives here in the winter. We got in touch with him last week and asked him if he'd take the kids out. This morning Polly and Jinks went off for their first taste of snowboarding. They loved it. Ben just sent me this... (these young people make video editing look so easy). Tommy is going to have to wait a few years... ever since he first got on a chair lift he has been asking why he can't snowboard instead.
