Time flies...

We thought not having work, school or normal life on our hands this year would mean lots of well thought out blog posts full of tales of our travels and tips for those wanting to do the same. It turns out there still aren't enough hours in the day hence the slight lack of them at the moment! We have had a wonderful time catching up with lots of old (and new) friends in Australia, the kids have lots of new Australian friends who I am sure they will be visiting in the future on their own travels. We are in New Zealand now starting a 6 wk road trip involving 5 house swaps and staying with friends and friends of friends. New Zealand is just one of those places where you feel welcome straight away and everyone goes out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful time. We will have more time to reflect on what we have done and how we have done it and share those things with you once we reach Canada but for now we wanted to answer the question everyone is asking us... how are Meg's fingers?

She has been quite incredible throughout the six weeks and the result is nothing short of miraculous to be honest. She had her final appointment and pins out in Melbourne and is now bandage free and healed and is enjoying the simple pleasures in life like splashing in the bath, digging in the sand, pulling her brother's hair and picking her nose.

There are many people to thank for getting Meg, and us all, to this point and we're incredibly grateful.

Meg still has ten fingers, albeit one a bit wonky, that'll do us...
